I'm Lawrence G Watkins V, an underwater photographer based in sunny South Florida. My mission is to capture the beauty of the natural world, one pixel at a time.
Having spent much of my adult life in Colorado, the Rocky Mountains ignited my love for the outdoors, but it was my travels that rekindled my passion for photography. In 2018, a move to Hawaii marked the beginning of my journey into underwater photography, spurred by overcoming my fear of the water and becoming a certified diver.
While initially focused on landscapes, my fascination with the ocean deepened with every dive. From Indonesia to Australia, I immersed myself in diving, eventually merging it with photography to capture the enchanting underwater world.
Now based in South Florida, I find inspiration at the Blue Heron Bridge as well as shore diving in Fort Lauderdale. My passion for underwater photography, marine life, and camera gear has led me to a career in the underwater photography genre and I am a product tester and gear professional at Reef Photo and Video.
